Bench time for advanced beginner to advanced jewelers. Bench time includes the use of all basic tools and equipment. Items such as drill bits, burs, saw blades, solder, etc are to be purchased by students before the session. Time slots are available on Saturdays ONLY at this time. The studio ends promptly at closing time. All attendees of bench time are to keep the studio in clean condition and tools in excellent condition.

Email eatmetal@mac.com to book hours stating which time slot you would like to attend. The studio will let you know if there is availability before booking. Once the time slot is approved you can book your time slot.

Students are to work independently. Bench time consists of students working on their projects. The bench monitor is there to oversee the studio and students. The bench monitor is not there to train you. They will guide students to the best of their ability on how to design, fabricate, and finish works but are not obligated to teach new techniques. Do not use equipment if you are not comfortable and have not been trained.

Space is available at an hourly rate of $30 or a 2.5-hour session for $70. hours. Hours must be purchased before the time of bench time. All renters will be responsible for any damages to the studio, tools, and furniture. Renters will be expected to compensate for any damages at the time of checkout.
